I-1485 AOS has been transferred to California Service center

Hi I just received a notice from USCIS stating that mY I-485 Application for AOS :::::: On January 25, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

1. What does this Mean ?

My AOS has been based on marriage within 90 days to my wife, then my fiancee. I have finished my Biometrics and fulfilled RFE for I-693 medical. What shall i expect Next. Will transferring of my case to California service center delay the process?

Congrats- it means you probably will not get an interview.

No, it should not slow down your case. Files get moved to even out the work load.

Some cases that have gone from VSC to CSC were approved without interview, but that is not an absolute.

By going to CSC, it will speed up the process. You will probably skip the interview process unless CSC decides you need one.

We just got the same notice about our case being transferred to CSC. SMT, could you let us know if your case starts to move quickly? Am concerned this will slow it down, but seems most think this is a good sign, right?

Just discovered our I-485 was transferred to CSC as well. But not the travel document or work authorization. We hope this is a good sign that things will move quickly. We've been married for nearly 2 years so perhaps they don't really think we need an interview and forwarded the case to CSC. One can hope....

My case was transferred to CSC after i got 2 rfe's and EAD,but never heard or no updates since dec 10'09...am a bit worried about it!!!

Being transferred to CSC is a good sign - it means that the application will probably be approved without an interview. It doesn't always mean things are sped up, mind up, but usually they are. Most K-1s seem to get transferred and approved without an interview.

This means that you won't get an interview and the case will/may be approved faster. I've received the green card today.(after 2 months)

We are on same boat..Did biometrics on 05-05-10 case transferred to CSC on 05-06-10.

mine was transferred last Feb 12, 2010 last touch Feb 24, 2010. no update until now
