How many of us are there on this site that activally read these posts? Why not write up a script for our complaints and then plan to have all of us call in at the same time (spread it out over an hour or two if there are a lot of us)? Then do the same thing again an hour later? It would be great if we could make this the only phone calls they remember getting for a week or so?

I'm game, I'd be willing to call in every hour for a week if there were enough of us. Or has this been tried before?

Power in numbers!

I like reading that some people are already writing/calling to the senators. I would like to, too if it was a coordinated effort.

Anyway, just a thought. Was anyone approved today?

LOL  The people answering the phones dont even see our petitions.

They are just contracted phone operators that read from a computer screen and they have very limited knowledge about each individule case.

The people who answer the phone are not the adjudicators who are processing the petitions.

Have you ever called? And how long was your queue? How long do you think that queue would be if we all called in at once? Do you think they'd care? They get paid for answering the phone constantly and they have a script to read from. Do you have time to be on hold for 2 hours just to get a canned answer? I haven't called because it's useless and I don't have time to waste.

Nice idea, but not practical. Would be different if they were the decision makers, but they are not.

If you want to phone someone, call your Senator.

I was refering to the senator's office, were you? I didn't mean call CSC - let's leave them alone so they can do their work. :)

Not how I read it, sorry.

Perhaps that might work, but, aren't they getting ready to dismiss for the summer? Like tomorrow?

Any Senator's home numbers available?

My mistake for not being clear. I mean to contact the senators. :)

It wouldn't do much good to bombard senators' offices with calls like that. It is generally much easier and more effective (excluding Sen. Boxer and a few others) if you simply follow their process for giving assistance to constituents in need. Instructions here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22477
