at least she tried

Unfortunately she's a little like your sister. I mean she probably wouldn't thaw bread in warm water, but it wouldn't surprise me to see her trying either.

 I can't wait for tomorrow when everyone comes for lunch again. My sister's bf will tell me all the hilarious things she did this week.

Will she be bringing donuts or bagels?

This was Canadian devastation here. :crying: My mother's attempt to bring Timmy's to Hawaii in checked-luggage.

Wow.

I've done that before, but absolutely had different results - as I used heavy cardboard to protect the stuff.

Mom have cardboard in Canada?

Donuts are important - must learn to protect them :D

Corn muffins, anyone? They good good with pinto beans.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Add me to the list of loyal Timmies customers, :P The sad thing is, I know it isn't that great of a coffee. There's just something about it that's addicting. Andy had his first Tim Horton's Double Double in October and was craving another one later that night. He says it's almost like a comfort coffee.

I've never been to a DD and I started enjoying Starbucks coffee sometime in 2009 - I guess I should get used to it for when I'm down here for good! I don't think I'll have a lot of luck trying to find a Tim Horton's in the southeast.

As far as the donuts go, I actually have a severe peanut allergy so most places aren't safe - I have to rely on either making my own, going to a private bakery in a town near my house that's peanut-free or enjoying the store-bought Hostess-type donuts (like the ones we bought last night that are sitting in the pantry, :P)

I'm not sure where you're located, but I think it'd be a good business opportunity to open one in say...Florida. Look at how many Canadians go to Florida on vacation!! I think it'd make a killing!

(sits here & thinks...re-location to FL??)

I thought of that for Houston...but I can't figure out how to get the product here in a cost-effective manner! Have not given up hope, though.
