Hey Dills...we are planning to bring the girls up before their K-2 visas expire in June. I know we will have to pay the $131 visa fees...but do they have to have fingerprinting and the medicals too? It may seem like a dumb question, but I am totally confused on this part of the equation.

Jan 28, 2010 ~~ USCIS email that I-485 was transferred to CSC on 1/26/10

Jan 30, 2010 ~~ Received EAD and AP via US Postal Service

Feb 01, 2010 ~~ Received notification of case transfer via USPS

May 07, 2010 ~~ Email notification that card production ordered for 1-485

Jun 01, 2010 ~~ Greencard finally arrives w/approval date 2/23/10 (Huh??)

Done until November 25, 2011!!!

No biometrics if they're under the age of 14, but yes to the medical...

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

Yep they will need the medicals but no biometrics in Jamaica. When you file their AOS papers they will have to go in and get fingerprinted. Let me know if you have any other questions. All you have to do is email the embassy when you are ready for their interview.

Yep they will need the medicals but no biometrics in Jamaica. When you file their AOS papers they will have to go in and get fingerprinted. Let me know if you have any other questions. All you have to do is email the embassy when you are ready for their interview.

What forms have to be completed for their interview? Will their medicals cost the same amount?

The medial for a child was $50 when my son had to do it this past summmer. You have to fill out the same forms you did for A including a new affidavit of support.

$50 is just the fee for the medical as you know any shots would be extra.
