Hi, I also mailed my petition for my mother on Dec 29, 2009 and got NOA1 on Jan 6, 2010. Since then, i have heard nothing. IR5 - for parent. I'm a US citizen.

But the others who filed in Jan already got NOA2 in Mid-Mar. Is there something wrong with ours?

Same with us. My husband filed petition for my son and daughter they both under age. We still waiting for the NOA2. We don't know what happen and why takes so long to receive the NOA2?

I sent my daughter's I-130 on January 15 along with my husband's. Hers was approved March 12 while my husband got his on March 18.. Cheer up guys! You'll get the approvals soon enough!

09/02/2006: Dee married Eee

10/14/2006: Dee and Eee were blessed with daughter

03/12/2010: Daughter's NOA2 (e-mail/text message) ::: 56 days from NOA1

How do you know your mother's case was touched on 3/30/10? That might be a sign that your mother's case is going to be approved soon.

2/5/16, I-130 package delivered to USCIS (for Dad)

2/11/16, NOA 1 receipt date

5/5/16, RFE received

5/23/16, gathered all docs required by RFE, package delivered to USCIS

6/2/16, USCIS confirmed receipt of Request for Evidence

6/9/16, I-130 approved

6/13/16, NOA 2 received

6/17/16, case is in NVC building but not yet in the system

7/1/16, finally case is in the system, GUZ case# assigned

7/5/16, received welcome letter, choice of agent form and AOS fee bill

I just received an email indicating my I-130 was approved on 4/13/2010 (IR-5 mother, NOA1 Jan 11,2010). I have not received NOA2 in the mail yet.

Congratulations! :dance: If I were you start calling the NVC and ask if they have the case number available for your mother, if they do then register your e-mil address and your mom too. It's a faster communication.

We are waiting for NVC to forward our daughters case to the embassy - we sent in our DS230 in late June but nothing yet - and the log in at NVC is still active. So keen for her to get her it hurts.

We are waiting for NVC to forward our daughters case to the embassy - we sent in our DS230 in late June but nothing yet - and the log in at NVC is still active. So keen for her to get her it hurts.

Did you ever called NVC and talk to the live operator? Usually when you send the DS-230 packet and all other supporting documents it takes less than 2 weeks to review the papers and then if everything is in order they usually give you an e-mail for the interview schedule or if there are missing docs.

I did - they said 6 to 8 weeks before they even open them.

So after 6 - 8 weeks we might get an RFE and then another 6-8 weeks for them to open the envelope again.

Meanwhile my daughter is sitting in Ireland waiting ...

I called again - they say they received the info on July 9th (so it took two weeks to make it onto the system) and to please allow 6 to 8 weeks for notification. Grrr!!!

When I called NVC about my mom's case they said that too please allow 6 to 8 weeks to review the case. I think that's what they said to everybody's inquiring their cases. Just keep calling, that's what I did I called every week until I get my mom's case approval. Cheer up!

It depends on the embassy where your daughter going to have her interview if it's busy then yeah it will take up time but if not then it will be faster.
