ChuckandRhean, am happy you made it to your beau's arms, finally! Lots has happened since we moved here, sorry if I have been unable to keep in touch here.

We haven't applied for AOS yet (I'm on K3 and Pippo is on K4, so these visas are good for 2 years); we will file for AOS later in the year when we are close to our 2nd year wedding anniversary.

I did apply for EAD first, and just got the approval notice today. Hope the rest of our journey to GC (and ultimately to citizenship) is a good one.

What was the length of time between submitting you EAD application and your biometrics appointment? When you got the letter for the biometrics appoint, what was the wait between the letter arrival date and the actual appointment?

Hi tysalanna!

Just to clarify, I only applied for EAD so far...I have not applied for Adjustment of Status yet.

Here's my timeline:

- I submitted my EAD application in December 17, 2009.

- I received the approval notice via e-mail on January 27, 2010.

- On January 29, I received a notice that the card was mailed.

- Just got the card today, February1st.

50 days from submitting the EAD application to getting the EAD approval; 5 days from receiving the EAD approval to getting the EAD card!

No RFEs, no biometrics date. My card has my picture and signature, but no fingerprint...which I find kind of unusual because they have my fingerprint on file (they took it at the Embassy and it was verified at the POE in Atlanta when we arrived here in October).
