Once you sent packet 3 how long did you wait before you started stalking the DOS again? I know that packet 3 has been delivered just wondering how long I should wait before I bother trying again.

Typically it's 2 weeks before they enter your packet into the system. But they are a bit backlogged and told me (via email because we had another issue earlier) that it's about 4 weeks now. So, you could meet in the middle and go for 3. They only seem to do the interview scheduling and notification once a month though so you likely won't be in the next round to go out at the beginning of February.

Our packet 3 got there on January 13 and hadn't been entered into the system as of Monday (25th January).

Thanks for the reply. I'll just sit here and wait. I sorta figured we wouldnt make it for the March interviews...bit of a pisser but what can ya do?

Well, let me tell ya. Mine was received on 31st December.

Today I received a letter dated 25/01 asking if we wish to continue with our application as they have not heard from us. I was about to have heart failure. Couldn't get through to DoS (due to Haiti the message says) so I had to suck it up and call the extortion line. Turns out it was logged yesterday. So approx four weeks it took for us.

Well it's good to know that it's possible to be receiving a letter like that prior to it being logged because I would have had a heart attack for sure! I have decided I will wait 2 weeks before I start calling...then hopefully I only have 2 weeks of them telling me NO it hasn't been logged LOL. I wonder how long it will take for you to get your interview date now...keep me posted would ya?

Oh most definitely!

I'm thinking we got the letter because our NOA2 is due to expire soon (or even maybe has - this said without digging out my copy)! And yes, I nearly died on the spot lol.

To be honest, I'd like a mid March interview... I'd like to leave here in July because of my daughter's schooling.

Woooo Hooo hopefully you hear something soon about that interview. It makes me happy knowing that it's moving a little faster. Maybe it was because of the holidays they fell behind. I'm keeping positive. Hoping we can mange to get him here sooner rather than later!
