in the mail with your EXpressPost envelope? I am checking my tracking number and still yet? Nothing. A little premature I know. The thing is, and I will probably sound a little nutty here but I was thinking of giving notice today at work and for some reason, was hoping for a sign that my passport/visa was on it's way -- lest the consulate changed their mind about us or something.. :blush:

NOA #2: Approval June 25th, 2009 - 92 days

NVC

July 8, 2009 to August 10, 2009 - 28 days

Interview Assigned - December 3, 2009 - FINALLY!!

Medical - December 14, 2009 - Passed

Embassy/Interview - January 26, 2010 Montreal, Quebec Canada - 167 days PASSED!!!

Port of Entry - February 26, 2010 Baltimore International, Maryland

USCIS -- ROC package sent off

November 26, 2011 to Vermont station November 30, 2011 received NOA1December 16, 2011 received biometrics appointment.

January 04, 2012 Biometrics

September 2, 2012, RFE Received.

September 22, 2012 RFE responded to

October 15, 2012 ROC approved, 10 Green card on its way.

I had my interview on a Wednesday and got the passport on the following Tuesday I think. It took 4 business days or something along those lines.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Biometrics - 9/14/11

the earliest you can expect your passport is Friday. Tracking might work later in the evening today if they have already placed the visa in your passport and Canada Post picks it up this afternoon. In the meanwhile you can entertain yourself by reading about my passport drama in one of the posts :) At least I made Post Canada pay for my Express Envelope :dance:

OH and is there another way to track shipment of it like via the COnsulate? or am I just relying on my CP tracking number?

Sorry, you know I DO know that a lot of stuff has been posted on this but you know how it never becomes relevant until it actually applies to oneself, right?

Anyway... Mikey, I just re-read your gambit with PC and uh yeah... that sounds like a nightmare. I paid extra for 'signature required' as I am NEVER home when post guy comes so it always gets shipped back to my outlet.

Geezus, thank god I'm working or I'd be making the Postal Carrier very worried about imminent attack or something.

We had our interview on a Monday, and received the package back that Thursday. However, the tracking information was all wrong. We had checked it the night before and it showed that the package had not moved at all. On a whim, we checked the mail the next morning and it was there.

Only way to track is via CP and it appears many times CP never updates it, so the tracking is useless, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Well, that may be a blessing in disguise -- they have the right address, confirmed by them, me and my husband but it's too bad as I love the tracking!
