B1 extension

We just came back from overseas and we bring our nanny in the states she is on B1 visa (M-Entry, valid for one year), when we went to Immigration they stamped a 3 month visa on her I-94. It means she have to leave before this 3 months period. Now, we have changed our plans and decided that we need to stay a little more. My questions is it possible to extend her stay? and how long is the maximum? If we will be staying in the states for good, what kind of visa do we need to get for her?

Take a look at the USCIS site for B-1 extensions. Also note that according to this site, she needs work authorization to be working for you, does she have that? If she does not then she might be jeopardizing any future in the US (including a work visa that you may want for her)
