Just getting started with figuring out the paperwork we're going to need to do in the near future.

My fiance is a Canadian citizen who's studying here in the states on an F-1 student visa. We'll be getting married September 2010 in the US and will be graduating in October 2010, so her student visa will still be valid by the time we get married (making a K1 visa unneccessary I believe). We both plan to live and work in the states after graduation.

Can anyone direct us as to what we're going to need to do as far as paperwork and applications is concerned for all this to happen?

Thanks!

I only know K1, but I think all you need to do is the adjustment of status after you get married. Take a look at the I-485 instructions and see what it says, I think you will need a job too for the support part of it.

First read this about adjusting from an F1 and then read the guides about AOS.

Good luck!
