If this American guy really loves you and wants you he should put forth the effort to do the paperwork with for you. If he's not interested then he's not worth your time and love....pure and simple.

Respectfully, this is utter nonsense and has no bearing on the OP's questions. And should he, in your opinion be doing the paperwork with or for her? Seems you changed your mind about it and didn't fix the edit...

I'm assembling the paperwork for our I-129F because firstly, I've got all the evidence saved on my computer, secondly I was the one doing most of the traveling because I could more easily since I get paid vacation time and he doesn't and thirdly, I'm an experienced administrator and deal with forms, bureaucracy and paperwork all day. I find it easier to interpret and source information and that's a very necessary skill in this process. Why should any one part of a couple do all the work, when the other is more adept at it?

My fiance's interest in our petition isn't any less because I'm doing the assembling, nor is it any less because I'm the one finding out about the process and seeing it through. We communicate about it daily and he expresses his support, excitement and appreciation for my efforts regularly. We talk about our wedding plans, discuss the practicalities of living together, and that's more than a lot of men do!

To the OP: Have you registered for electronic updates? It's not failsafe, but at least you can have some idea of how your case is processing. Your lawyer should be able to provide you with a copy of the NOA1 (meaning they've received your petition, the I-130). You can file an I-129F to be processed alongside the CR-1 but it would be a total waste of money doing it if your CR-1 petition was submitted back in September? Agreed with the others though, getting an immigrant visa of any kind in a month is not going to happen.
