Hello Everyone,

I am looking for a nice hotel in Baguio City. My wife and I are planning a trip back home this next Christmas and the place I have been staying is getting a bit pricy.

We normally stay at Burnham Suites Hotel on No.6 Kisad Road.

Its a nice place, the food is good.

Its close to Burnham Park and Kisad Road is not busy at night so there is very little noise.

Its a great view for the fireworks on New Years Eve too!

Its easy to grab a taxi and if you want, its a short walk up to SM mall.

For all the pluses, if we bring a bunch of the family along its just too much...

Anyone ever stay and another place in Baguio?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Howdy! Im from Baguio City. If you'll be bringing with you your family, then Id suggest that u look for a house/apartment for transient. Its cheaper than paying few rooms in a hotel(even if the hotel charges cheap rates).Food is really affordable in the city. I love pancit bihon at TeaHouse(its located in Session Road)Fruits are fresh in the black market. Id prefer house/apartments for transient away from the busy lights and noises of the citycentral. For taxis, pick those who have walkie talkie/extension phones, those are regulated,or have metric reader. Theyre monitored in other words.

Hope this helps,..enjoy Baguio!

My husband and I always stay here in this hotel (3x) http://www.summerplacebaguio.com/. We prefer this coz hubby wants a place that's not too crowded and congested. It's less than 10 minutes away from the main city. Cabs are cheap there. They have a flat rate of 25.00 and they don't ask for more other than what's in the meter unlike in Manila. If you're going to stay with the whole family, ChuckandRhean is right. It's better to just do transient, rent the apartment or house. Your family could also do some cooking there and bring the food to Camp John Hay. They have picnic tables there. You could also try to eat in Rose Bowl (Chinese Resto). I'm missing Baguio and my sister's family now. Good luck!!! :)

hi! I've been in Baguio with my mom, dad, aunt, uncle and my fiance. It was August 2009. I would say to find an apartment. because it has kitchen, utensils, ref, and gas range that you can cook. thats what we did. we save money. if you are interested to a place were we rented I can give you the owners info. It was P 4,000 a night good for 8-10 people. the place is quite. We enjoy our stay in that apartment.

my suggestion is to look up vacation rentals. I have found that you usually can rent a good condo for half the price of hotels. You have the option to do alot more by renting a good condo because you can cook your own meals and do your own laundry. Most usually have a maid come around twice a week and change the sheets and clean. The ones I rented have security guards at the entry and a receiption in the lobby.

here are some links

good luck.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I had dome some research and the Bloomfield was on the top of my list.

I will also check out an apartment.

We want to be close to SM mall so anything outside of walking distance is not really workable for us.

-Phil

My fiance and I stayed in this hotel for more than a week last May 2009... have a try.. it's nice, close to everything with the reasonable price.
