Hi everyone!

I am currently in removal proceedings with next master hearing date coming in May. I filed I-360 and I485 concurrently in June 2008. And recently my Vawa was approved. I would like to know what should happen next. I did some research and came to understanding that my attorney should file motion to terminate removal proceedings based on approved I360. And after that I will proceed with my interview as if I was not in court. But she tells me differently. She talks about just "asking" judge and trial attorney to allow adjudicate with USCIS, and thinks that most likely they will not agree and I will have to go to individual hearing to be adjudicated by the judge. (which means I have to pay more money to my lawyer). Before I talk to my attorney I would like to hear from people who was in similar situation - removal proceedings. Please!!!!, I need this urgent before my attorney did something that would hurt my case. If I need to find another attorney, I have to start now! If I must, I would rather pay money to attorney who works in my interest and not their own.

Thank you JaSmiNe1989 for your quick reply. I guess now I have to look for another attorney. I am in New York area, so unfortunatelly attorney you recomend is in Texas. I doubt this matter could be handled from a distance.

So, please everyone!!!. If you know good, HONEST attorney, who has experience with removal proceedings, please let me know. You can send private message.

Ugh.. So tired of being taken advantage by lawyers :girlwerewolf2xn:

JaSmiNe1989:

Your attorney is taking advantage of you...you are correct; thus a motion to terminate removal proceedings needs to be filed..

3600rs:

You need a regional lawyer for immigration court. More the experience the better, should be experienced in removal court and VAWA cases. Some of these guys can be very expensive, but they are good.

Miss Mod. the above websites are NOT promoting SPECIFIC lawyers. They are websites for lawyer information in GENERAL.

Well, my post clearly has no reference to the other poster. The 4 websites I had posted were deleted before. And YES I did see the guys specific lawyer recommendation.

Just curious, did you see my first attempt to pass the links to the OP in removal? Guess not, you were late. The mod was quick.

Anyways I am glad the links have reached the OP, they do not promote any lawyer specifically. thanks for your clarification.
