Hi, anyone who has the experience of the "Background Check". I called the USCIS because my case is still pending after 6 months. And they told me that my case is under another investigation, looks like FBI investigation, and they're doing a "BackGround Check". They told me: "don't call us if after 6 months your case still pending...". I start to feel nervous and mad....

I submit my I-130 on April 16th, and we received the I-797C on April 21th. I called on November, regarding my case. We're on January, still pending.

I also submit for the K3 Visa (I-129F), I received the I-797C on September 1th, 2009. I hope it works. Does it need also a "Background investigation"?

If anybody can give me an advice or information about the "BackGround Check". THanks a lot.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
