I noticed that some others on this forum mentioned that they received the NOA for the I-130 through email. Where exactly did you include your email because I don't see any part of the forms that include adding an email address? Does anybody know for Mexico, if the NOA is through email or snail mail? Or do I have to call them to find out? If it's a phone call, how long should I wait after mailing out the documents before calling?

I'm filing in London, so I'm not sure of the specific guidelines for Mexico, but my instructions said to write my email address on the front page of the I-130 petition, at the bottom. (There wasn't a line for it, I just added it in on the very bottom.)

It was via snail mail a few years ago. You may not get it, since the mail system is not so reliable. They should keep all of the notices on file at the Embassy and they will make you a photocopy if you do not receive it.

12-26-06 I-130 approved - USCIS field office Mexico City

11-08-07 Interview at Ciudad Juarez - put on AP, security clearance required

02-21-08 DOS saying clearance received - told appointment letter coming soon.....

04-28-08 the day Juarez says security clearance received

08-01-08 2nd interview (hopefully visa pick up)

08-01-08 Received visa and crossed the border!!! :)
