you filed in March..you got an RFE..and another it appears for the Marriage Broker thingie...you appear to be on track....so why do you need the assistance of a US Senator???

Do you have a problem??

Seems you havent quite been following what's up at CSC.

Normally, it would seem like this petition was in an acceptable timeframe.

Factors of the IMBRA situation bring that into serious question for all that are pending.

youre right...I havnt been following it....but arent they fianlly getting around to approving the petitions that were recalled or subject to RFE??

He still appears within the guidelines...what is the prob?? Im only asking.

It took me a good 5 months...that was before the IMBRA #######...I had no complaints.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

You also have to keep in mind that we do have the right to request assistance from our elected officials in a situation like this - the situation being that there has never been any official communication from USCIS to petitioners regarding IMBRA, the RFEs, the transfer of petitions from NSC to CSC in the middle of IMBRA or the processing guidelines regarding those transfers. We have been completely in the dark for a long, long time. Take that information and add to it that people who filed in late April or even in June have been getting approved while people who filed in March have not. Yes, we know every case is different and there are many factors that go into it. But it is perfectly reasonable for a petitioner who has been waiting for more than 120 days (outside of the processing guidelines provided by USCIS) to request assistance from their senator. And the senator, as an elected official, needs to respond. When I contacted my senator's office early on to try to get straight answers regarding the IMBRA process and timing, as well as the processing order for transfers, they were supportive and in agreement with my concerns. Yes, in the past 5 months may have been normal. But nothing about this IMBRA situation or transfer to CSC has been normal. Enough said.

Note to ld&rd - I would ask your lawyer exactly what source provided the information that the service center would put your petition on hold for 45 days if you bug them too much - that's an absurd notion and I suspect your lawyer was simply trying to get your off her back.
