shooters "in the know" know the difference. amateurs are bedazzled by bling. real shooters care only about function.

i was up on the mountain last weekend with the usual suspects. they are mostly minimalists, with really good stuff, but there are a few wannabes in the crowd. the weather was peachy for the winter shoot/campout, as usual. freezing rain on top of a few feet of snow is just grand.

As for this clown, he's an amateur, not because of his equipment, but because he does not have a profession where the use of weaponry is required. A professional is not someone who fails shooter's litmus test on weaponry possession and quite frankly, I have no idea what relevance any of this has to well, anything at all. Who cares if these weapons did not come up to some imaginary standard of Shoothismouthoffatthehip? Really, of all the stupid things people come out with...

shooter's litmus test is all about character and level of maturity in the game. shooter points out that this guy is a poser, so noting that it is understandable that he was bagged. shooter has never been bagged, because he is not a poser. he doesn't advertise his schnizzle in the real world, he just uses it to bash noobs and ignoramuses on the net.

in any case, the guy was a prohibited person. it's good news that he is off the streets. funny thing about prohibited persons: they are extremely polarised on the issue of gun xtrol. they either flout the law and violate it, rationalising their behaviour, or they advocate unilateral personal disarmament, attempting to impose their own disability upon others not so afflicted.
