You should be receiving your W2s this week. Once you receive them, you can do your taxes. You don't have to wait until march or April.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

They don't normally ask for the previous year return until April. 2008 will work. All depends when his interview is.

File 2009 ASAP to be sure.

Have him take his St. Lukes medical ASAP. Like this week. He only needs the NOA2 and MNL#, 3 passport pics and passport.

Go AFTER 1 PM tueday thru thursday. LOTS of TB in PI. Takes 6 months to cure. 2 months for the sputum test results if any signs of TB in Xray.

Employers are required BY LAW to postmark all necssary documents on or before January 31, so you will have what you need within the first week of February. There is no need to wait until March or April and why would you with the impending interview coming? This is not a normal year for you so you should consider doing some thiongs in ways other than "the usual" as you will be anyway.

That said, if the interview is prior to the April 15th normal filing deadline, your 2008 tax return will be sufficient.

If you are worried then get the return done.... If your not worried then go ahead and get it done in March/April as normally you do

YMMV
