The did not receive my Change of Address request

Hi folks,

It's been awhile since I've been on here. I'm at the happy inbetween place of conditional permanent residency.

Until today. I'm freaking out.

A year ago I moved, and updated my address online using AR-11.

Today I received a reminder to file to lift conditions, and it was addressed to my old addressed. I called USCIS, and they told me to refile AR-11. But if I do that, how can I guarantee that someone will get my new form??

When I asked if I could call someone who could bring up my file, she said "no". And she was generally no help whatsoever.

Now what do I do?

In 3 weeks I'll be applying to lift conditions, and I don't want them to deny because they never received my updated address request!

Don't worry . Many people got reminder letter to their old address though they filed AR-11.

I don't know why, but USCIS send it to the address when you filed AOS.

If you do not have a case pending - you are supposed to file the form/paper version of the AR-11 (that's what the USCIS site says) - the online COA is intended if you have a case pending at that time (in which case they say you should do both the online and paper). We used the online version and didn't have an issue but who knows.

I would do as suggested and file AR-11. You should receive a confirmation from USCIS in the mail a couple of weeks later. Keep in mind - the US citizen spouse/sponsor must also file a change of address via the I-865.

When we submitted our Ar-11 a year ago, this webpage looked very different and it did not contain any instructions that I should have submitted my request both ways if I did not have any cases pending.

It's both if you do have a case pending..(I know, its confusing) I'd file it again then, call in a couple of weeks to confirm if you don't get the letter/confirmation.

As I'm digging through the house frantically, I also cannot find the confirmation that should have come for my sponser, and I now I can't entirely be sure I ever even received one

If you have a copy of AR-11, Alien's Change of Address Card with confirmation number (did you print out?), you'll be fine. You can file I-751 with that copy in it just in case. I think they already update your address.

As I wrote in my other post, they just send reminder letter to old address.

I disagree you have to have a case pending. That is only if you are a USC and a have case pending. The site states an alien can use the site and that's what we did. Though if you the USC are the sponsor you need to file I-865 by mail.
