Good Day everyone!!!!!!!

My fiance and myself are going through a little dilemma which put big question marks on our face's. We originally filled our K1 visa in June 2009 we went through the long waiting period and Noa & Noa 2 approvals. My fiance lives in Japan and she recently went to her interview on December 14 2009 at the US Japanese embassy. Unfortunately we didn't get the approval right away because there was some information on my side which they needed which I kindly faxed over to them in which they received. This was about 2 weeks ago my fiance and myself have just been anxiously waiting, now a few days ago she received a call from the embassy stating that they received everything which look good and she could expect an approval once everything is processed so we are thinking ....Excellent. Today she received the Package with the K-1 Visa Approval she got her passport back with the approval and the date we have to get married by and myself listed as the petitioner and they sent all of our many pics back. There were two other documents included one was a brown envelope stating not to open which I'm guessing is for the consulate once she comes to JFK (New York Airport) to present to them. The second letter was a denial letter stating that the process was denied giving all these reasons then stating it couldn't be appealed and we would have to start all over but the letter didn't include our names or anything it was kind of general. Now on one hand we have the approval as promised but on the other we have a denial letter which is really bizarre. We are not sure whether to celebrate or take it from the top again. I was told by some of my biz. partners to just have her come to the U.S, Visa was approved and that most likely it was a error on the embassy side but I don't want to take it lightly, any suggestions would help us make a better decision on what we should do next? ................................(Thank you in advance)

dude where is th dilemma ? in few words congratulations you guys got the visa just make sure no one open the brown envelop cause this is the actual via it must be handed to immigration officier at the port .regarding the denial letter it is just mistake and it happens it is all good nothing to worry about it

Sounds like the second letter is some type of error. If it was a true denial it would have your case number and the name of the beneficiary as that is the person applying for the visa.

The actual visa is the beautiful "sticker" they apply in the beneficiaries passport which you have described as a stamp. Sure sounds like the visa to me. The "mysterious" brown package is the document package to be turned over at POE. DO NOT OPEN IT OR TAMPER WITH IT!!! This would void it and open you up to a nightmare of additional work. Maybe a simple call to the consulate can clear up any questions on the "second letter".

But is sure sounds like your good to go. Congrats and Best Wishes!!!
