IRS Transcripts versus Tax Agency Copy

Hi

I am filling out the 864 Affidavit of Support. I see it asking me to include copies of recent tax transcripts, I am wondering if this has to be something from IRS or if it can be the copy of the 1040 ect filed at the agency I did my taxes.

Has anyone used a photocopy of the 1040 they filed last year and it was ok?

i did... but you also need to include all w-2's and/or 1099's to support the income items on the 1040

I did also just as Payxibka did, however they did not look at it. The looked at the letter from my employer more so.

If you decide to get tax transcripts from the IRS it is easy and normally takes about 10 working days. It would be wise to order then soon as tax season is starting and that will most likely delay the transcripts. when i called irs they faxed the transcripts to me while i was on the phone.. took all of 10 min..

I got my transcripts by calling 800-829-1040
