I don't give a #### what you consider art and what you consider rubbish and, prole, that's not the point. What makes you a proletarian is your desire to destroy that which you do not understand, or for your sensiblities consider art, too bad, smart guy.

You are so childish. One day you'll have to grow up.

To please you? I don't think so. However, your non sequitur doesn't prevent the discerning reader from concluding, you got nothing

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Why are you always obsessed with pleasing me?

No, the real world says you'll have to grow up. Not me. If childish posts bring a ray of light into your dismal life, then so be it.

I saw the image on TV and didn't hear the story.

I thought it was another Obama inspired bit of artwork. Note the big ears.

Its a piece of ####### just like most other picassos

As I said, you got nothing.

I don't need to have anything. Adults are having a conversation here, go play outside in the street.

Associating Picasso with Obama because the subject of the painting has 'big ears' or calling most of Picasso's work #######? Yeah, that's really adult. Carry on.

if you need a referee... i can recommend someone

anyway, jose, i understand your point... when i was still teaching, my students had this derision on shakespeare

yet, just like picasso, he had earned his place on the pages of history... and blackbeard, too

I love art. I frequent the museums and have many of my college books still in my book shelves. I don't consider Picasso art, but to each his own.

Just like some of my friends back in the day would call comic books "art" and i'd tell them they were full of #%!@$^

What is your criteria for determining what is art?

Posted (edited)

An uneducated person will define art as something that is aesthetically pleasing, the truly ignorant something that is aesthetically pleasing if they personally so determine.
