holiday cards

Do we need to send a copy of the holiday cards (addressed to me and my husband) or the exact cards. Will we be able to take them back? I would like to keep these cards if possible. Any idea on what should I do?

My husbands grandmother sent us a card for our wedding. So I made a copy and sent it out with our package.

I'll for sure bring the originals with me to the interview, just in case they want to see it.

We put 2 envelopes on the copier at a time, and just sent those. They definitely don't care about the cards themselves, but the envelopes show the return addresses, postmarks, and your names and address on there. Some people don't think cards are important at all, saying they can be 'faked'. I figure it doesn't hurt to include envelopes (or copies of them), because it would be difficult (and expensive - not just postage, but gas/plane ticket money) to fake sending mail to yourselves from all over the country. And it also shows that you've told a bunch of people that you're married and living together.

Lol, how is it expensive and fake to send cards to yourself? You could ask your accomplice friends to do it for you or even send the package to yourself when on vacation. Imho, it is very secondary proof, financial mingling is the most important one.
