It's surprising though that yours hasn't come in yet. It's been 9 days since your case was assigned. Bizarre.

Yep, still got em, he's wonderful! That's why I was surprised at all the horror stories about lawyers on VJ...but I was picky, talked to 3 before I chose him. With some of our circumstances there was NO way I would've done this without professional advice....plus, I didn't find wonderful VJ until Nov and we filed in Sept. He's funny, he's trying to say, "let's wait to get the papers IN THE MAIL" and I'm like, hell NO. If I get these approvals online and case numbers on the AVR, we're MOVING man! But to me, that is the sign of a good lawyer, he's trying to be cautious and do things "properly". I am the trouble-maker in a RUSH! I would highly recommend him to anyone in Nor Cal that needs some assistance with a tricky case. Nothing criminal, I just married a very wonderful but disorganized little albanian alien.

Updating current NVC timelines:

# of business days it takes:

4-7 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

4-9 days to receive emailed links after giving your email address to an operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

8-9 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

1-2 days for IV bill to be PAID.

7-10 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

Estrella--Where did you get that info about NVC being closed?

a friend of mine she called because she sent the email of choice of agent and did not receive a response she said that the operator told her that they will be closing until monday.. so I believe they will restart on tuesday
