I have a question.... somewhere i read that my spouse would need a passport clearance certification as well as a police clearance certification.... But I cant find this information again... reading the LingChe guide it doesnt state it in there.... are both certifications needed?

Yes both police certificates are required for India. But it varies from country to conutry.

Have they updated the DS-3032 forms lately? I have a hard copy of the form with my wifes signature which I will be mailing it in once the DS-3032 is generated. The form I have has an expiration of DEC 31st 2009. I will be emailing it too.

Regarding my case I still havn't been able to get an upgrade after becoming USC. Don't know what's taking so long. I have been calling them and I keep getting the same response "Its in review". Loosing hope about getting through NVC in time for an April interview. So frustrating.

Hello yes, I believe they did update it with an expiration date of 1/31/11.

SACHI I HAVE READ THAT Tax Transcripts, are optional BUT SOMETIMES THEY SENT A RFE FOR THAT SO I DONT KNOW WHY THEY SAID IS OPTIONAL AND THEY SEND A RFE

So guys... an unexpected question maybe...

But what is the best way to delay our interviewdate?

I was hoping on delaying it until july maybe, but I would love to have submitted all my papers to NVC by april.

Is it possible to get in touch with the embassy and ask them to push back the interview a few months?

Any suggestions?

Yohino -- Complete NVC. Wait for interview to be scheduled. Then call embassy and postpone date till July. Any particular reason you want to delay it?

I'm confused between the 1040 and 1099 -- I was looking through the I864 again and it says if you're using tax transcripts, that's fine. If you're using the federal tax returns, then W2s and 1099 must be attached. What the hell are 1099s? Will just the tax return and W2 be enough? People? I'm slightly freaking out.

If you have passport made in last 6-12 months, you don't need police clearance certificate from everywhere.

Passport Clearance Certificate is fine with Police Clearance Certificate (for current address)

RPO--Regional Passport Office. So wherever his passport was issued from.

Guys--it's okay if we did the I864 according to 2008 taxes, right? We also provided 2007 and 2006 tax returns and w2s.

An updated I864 and 2009 joint married tax transcripts will be provided at hopefully, the early April interview.
