I'm worried about our AOS package.

My wife is great! She has:

I864

W2

Pay stubs

Letter of employment

Tax transcripts

My mother-in-law:

I864A

W2

Tax transcripts

Does my mother in law HAVE to provide letter of employment as well as pay stubs???

You will need to send paystubs, proof of employment for your mother in law since she is actually the one whom you are using as primary income to qualify, they (NVC and consulate) need to see that she does in fact still earn what was indicated in her tax transcripts... Her employment letter needs to just state her titel, what she earns and length of employment, if there is a problem getting them to issue the letter, then you can just qualify showing just the pay stubs and perhaps the bank statement showing she has income deposited... But yes, she has to actually prove she earns enough to support the incoming immigrant...

Be sure that you send in proof of citizenship or LPR status (copy of passport, birth certificate etc..) for your mother in law!!!

cool, you wanna do mine for me??

Lol, not if you want them done properly!

I am a control freak, but there are a few things I am OKAY with paying someone to do for me correctly....bikini waxes are another example.

I started as a K3 Visa prior to finding VJ, anyone have any experience scheduling the medical/embassy interview on the K3 approval and then changing to the CR1? I read about that in LingChe's shortcuts, but wondered if anyone had experience...

I have heard of some folks doing that (seitching from K3 to CR1 at the consulate) I also read that they are phasing out the K3 starting this month and not issuing them (since they are pretty much obsolete anyway!!!) but not sure if that effects you at this stage...

To clarify, I do not get to MEET the celebs, just SEE them passing by!!! Which they are always bigger or smaller then you imagine and in a crowd of people, look like everyone else (in fact, I had to have the nearby paparazo tell me who half of them were!! lol...) Yes, below is the update about the K3 from the DOS website, but I think it's only effective for filing after Feb 1....hmmmm, I'll have to see what I can fandangle...that would save me some time in waiting for the interview. Anyone have experience, anyone? Bueller? I think this is an urban VJ myth ; )

Important Notice: Effective February 1st, 2010, when both the I-129F petition for a nonimmigrant K visa and the I-130 petition for an IR-1 (or CR-1) spouse of a U.S. citizen visa have been approved by USCIS and sent to the National Visa Center (NVC), the availability as well as the need for a nonimmigrant K-3 visa ends. If the NVC receives both petitions:

* The nonimmigrant K visa will be administratively closed.

* The application process explained below will not be applicable and cannot be used.

* The NVC will contact the petitioner and you with instructions for processing your IR-1 (or CR-1) immigrant visa. For more information on the immigrant visa process review the Immigrant Visa for a Spouse webpage.

If the NVC does not receive your I-130 petition and I-129F at the same time, the NVC will process your I-129F petition. Then NVC will send the petition to the embassy or consulate in the country where the marriage took place. If your marriage took place in the U.S., the NVC will send the petition to the embassy or consulate that issues visas in your country of nationality. If your marriage took place in a country that does not have an American embassy, or the embassy does not issue visas, the NVC will send your petition to the embassy or consulate that normally processes visas for citizens of that country. For example, if your marriage took place in Iran where the U.S. does not have an embassy your petition would be sent to Turkey.......
