Mike--My stuff was inputted into the AVR on the 18th. For some reason, only the DS230 was inputted and they said they were waiting for the AOS to be sent in which freaked me out a fair bit as both of the packages went together. I spoke to an operator, she was very nice and said the AOS was inputted on the 22nd and is currently under review. I think that last week kind of screwed them up. Barring any unforeseen RFEs, the "case complete" should happen soon, by Monday, I think. So fingers crossed. :)

I think this sort of settles the discussion we were having a few days back that if its better to send AOS packet as soon as its available or together with the DS-230. Looks like they enter the DS-230 and AOS seperately into the system and probably by different departments within the NVC. Since the entry in independent of each other I think its better to send in the AOS as soon as possible. Looks like atleast for now AOS entry is more backed up than the DS-230.

Sachinky - Great that you have both the packets entered into the system. You should be on your way now

My AVR recording still says "A packet of information was generated on February 23rd 2010 and will be sent out in the next few days". I am hoping this is about the email they sent my wife about sending in the DS-230. My AOS was sent in on the 22md. I wonder how much longer before they get their hands on the mail and acknowledge it in the AVR or even the system since the operator cant see it yet. sigh...

NVC is crawling at the moment, at least for me.

Removal of Conditions:

07/02/2012 - Sent I-751 packet via USPS

07/05/2012 - Packet delivered

07/09/2012 - Check cashed!

Me too SJ. It sure seems that way! Hang in there. The fact that the recording says "in the next few days" is encouraging tho. Better than their typical "a few weeks" Mine AOS was received on the 18th and just yesterday did the operator show it as being received. NOT reviewed, however. I wonder how long it takes for them to review the DS230? shouldnt be as long as the AOS i would imagine

I agree, Vivek. Always better to send in the package you have first. Because my DS3032 got accepted early, our AOS bill and IV bill showed as PAID within a day of each other. So it made sense for us to send both together. But we wouldn't have waited otherwise. No idea how NVC works internally--I just had a vision they were making paper planes and zooming them around their tiny cubicles, but I digress--but best to send what you got. It'll take about 7 days for them to review the stuff after they receive them anyway.

Im hope they can just accept our DS230 and get us complete by the 8th. Is that too much to ask? Prolly so.. I imagine them using my packet as third base and playing baseball (or cricket) .. i could just see NVC supervisors sliding into home.. UGH. Sachinky, you are on your way miss... You will be complete by the 8th I am certain!
