Melody--It'll say email/print receipt. And below it, it says email/print cover sheet. PRINT COVER SHEET.

Gina--What kind of RFE? Oh no!

David--Took a little while but you're on your way! All hail Sue the Supervisor!

Estrella--So all your packets are outta the door? Awesome. Now we wait and watch.

MrsW--I really do think you'll be fine. The I864 works in this way -- if the intending immigrant uses public money like foodstamps, the U.S. government can recoup that money from your sponsors. Remember, the spouse is always the primary sponsor so the first person they go to is the primary sponsor and then the joint sponsor if he/she can't pay them back. It's not really the same as being "financially responsible" for them or any other activity they might indulge in. A lot of people DO sign separate contracts on the side, saying they won't sue for money or the sponsor won't REALLY have to pay anything because someone else (maybe someone on the beneficiary's side) will pay them back. This is what bugs me about this--we had to use a joint sponsor but I/my parents have enough income and assets (and they were willing to help us out) but those couldn't be counted in. So actually, we're not as poor as we look. That said, if your FIL gives a I864 as a backup, you'll be golden.

Tharnsur--The address thing is confusing. But I assume it'll all end up in the same place.

THANKFULLY we anticipated this a little bit. We may have submitted the wrong kind of Police Clearance. Both are correct, but talking with his friends afterwards he learned one is preferred in Albania more than another. So a month ago he applied for that one, mailed it to me 2 weeks, so if we do get an RFE for it, it should be here any day and I can overnight it to NVC. One of those stupid circumstances where we did what was asked of us from the NVC, but the Albania Embassy wants a PC one way.

Can I send in the new PC without receiving an RFE, or do I have to/ should I just wait to see if they do give us one at all? The lady on the phone was great and she said there isn't one yet, but they are "verifying" some things and that really sounds like what it is. Who knows, miraculously we may get a LIF anyway.

WOOHHHOOOO Sachi, sounds like you may get a LIF tomorrow WAHHOoooOOooOOOooooo!

Gina--I'd wait to see if you get a RFE first. Like you said, NVC might still complete your case and you could take that PCC to the embassy. Wait till you get the RFE first, because you'd need to attach that with the PCC.

I think it'll be Friday/Monday before my LIFs. I'm going crazy with this last stretch of waiting.

Biographic forms is the DS230 package. No need to worry since you haven't sent them in yet. Has your AOS been inputted, btw?

Oh! I was serious in FREAK MODE. This message is brand new- as yesterday, they were still saying they sent packet of info.

As of Monday night, they hadnt inputted it yet. It was received last Thursday, however. Could this message mean that it HAS been inputted and now they just want the DS230? UGH.. Im on hold now... waiting to see if someone can tell me if its been accepted (I864)

Sachinky.. thanks. I am a mess again and its only 9am here!!

Ok, so a nice man named Roberto at the NVC says that they still havent entered in my AOS. Again, FedEx shows they received it last Thursday. He then tells me it can take 4-6 weeks for them to even REVIEW the AOS? WOW? Thats discouraging.

Haha. Calm down. Call and listen to the AVR properly again. See if they say they've received your AOS package and when. Then they'll say they're waiting for the biographic forms.

Hey, I just spoke to Roberto too earlier this morning. It should be in the building. He told me that it takes about 5-6 days for the mail to be distributed after delivered to NVC and then entered into the system. That 6-8 weeks is rubbish.

They still show it as not being received. Roberto asked me if I included the barcoded cover sheet and I said yes. He says it should show in a couple of days. Have they affirmed their receipt of your package yet? The 6-8 weeks to review thing irritates me and I wonder if thats just their "norm" response. I hope it doesnt take that long.

Right!! I swear that ladies voice on their makes my skin crawl. And their messages are cryptic. Even Roberto at the NVC said its strange it said "Petitioner" as they dont need Petitioner biographic info!

NVC is the

You know, everything varies. But I say call them again "just to make sure they entered the email addresses in correctly" maybe that will push them a bit. I dont kno if they make entries in their computer systems every time someone calls, but Im all for the squeaky wheel getting the grease...

Mine says it was inputted on the 18th even though it was delivered on the 12th. So yeah, that's about 6 days.

Dawn--I don't understand--your signature says you've received your AOS/DS3032. Those are usually sent 5-7 days after assignment of case #.
