Thank you. Our co-sponsers are my best friend and her husband. I figured it would be a given as to how they're related. Apart from copies of their birth certificates (something I forgot to add to the list), I'll ask them for a copy of their marriage license and to write a small affidavit signed by the both of them that they're married to each other. Thank you, again!

uhm - i meant - if not a parent -

then show HOW the co-sponser is related to the primary sponser.

USUALLY the primary sponser is the USC that filed the petition.

so is, for the co-sponser, a friend?

ya - write a letter about it, identifying the people.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Oh... They care about it even if we're not related? How odd.

Now are they going to care why it's my friend as opposed to my parents or should that not even be brought up? We're not using my dad because he's currently working through IRS issues, and we're not using my mom just because. It would be easy enough to switch to using her for the AOS, although I'm not certain if she's done her taxes yet for 2009.

I hope you get the response you want from your co-sponsor. Good luck!

IF ONLY I WOULD HAVE DONE THAT! Sending both packets would have been ideal. I could have been done and waiting!~

Thanks guys!

Yes, my idea was to send either with the ds230 packet (which is ready to go) or send the AOS package like tomorrow lol

Although I don't know if he received the transcripts yet, maybe hubby can call IRS tomorrow and check the status.

Co-sponsor said he was not feeling comfortable to sign the papers and last night he sent an email saying he was going to meet with a immigration lawyer today. At this point I just want to know whats his final decision, so things can move on.

Thats a bummer. Is the co-sponser just paranoid or what? its not like they have to come out of pocket for anything. Poo on that. Ill cross my fingers for you. Im sure the immigration lawyer will calm him down some. Its not like hes cosigning for a car loan or anything. LOL

Hello

I am just curious if anyone can reach NVC number? I have been calling them since last night even around midnite and got the busy line all the time. Even until now I still can't get through. Anyone experience the same thing?

Is this number correct 603-334-0700?

Thanks in advance.

mrs Wife. IRS can give you copies of the transcript the same day if you go to their office and request it. Not sure if your husband is in US or Brazil. If IRS is taking time to mail it to you this is an option.

I got 3 years of transcript from my local IRS office. I later got it in my mail too.

I think he is crazy paranoid!!! lol

He is about to retire, so he is afraid I use government fund (hospital, whatever) and he bankrupt because of that! LOL

I really hope the lawyer explains everything to him and he finally understands it.

He is my FIL, so I'm really upset. He accepted to be a co-sponsor a long time ago, and now he gets cold feet! :ranting:

Anyway, let's wait to see what he has to say.... I don't even bother anymore on having him as co-sponsor, I just want to know his final decision and forget about all this.
