No, they havent gotten to my DS-230 forms yet, she was just speaking based on what their standard procedures are.

I had only sent in one because my wife's city police authorities dont issue a PCC unless there is a written request from the consulate for it.

She has already applied for it and the process has started, but they will create one for her and not give it to her unless she brings the proof.

Oh well, we'll wait for the RFE I guess.

It sure SUCKS!

See, now that irks me! If its required, but authorities dont know this and wont issue unless a written request for it, how are people to move forward? Backward systems, I swear....

We all learn from eachother's experiences. I sure hope she gets what she needs ASAP so you can get in the clear. Fingers crossed for you.

Don't worry, Estrella! Some consulates schedule interviews on the last week of the month. They'll still be assigning dates on the second week of March for April. You're in with a chance, sister! :) Has your IV bill cleared as yet?

Thanks for the support atsleumas! I hope so too!

I hope they can still squeeze her in for April though, May is just too long of a wait after coming this far.

@Sachiky..yes,my case was about the passport being less than 6 months old, and I did include a not in my cover letter that we will produce the PCC at the time of the interview. Now if only the officer who check the stuff off is considerate enough.....

OK, I just tried to pay my AOS online and...I check the AOS box, then click on Pay Selected Fees, and nothing happens. That page just reloads. I feel like an idiot; what am I doing wrong?

Valerie,

Try a different browser or from a different computer. I think someone on this thread encountered the same problem and he/she changed computer (he/she was using a MAC) and that solved his/her problem.

SJ--I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya! I think, IMO, you'll be okay. Although she should get it ASAP, just in case. Chennai is pretty chill unlike Delhi which is a hardcore consulate.

Hey folks, i still need your help. I'm trying to get this package out today if at all possible. I am reviewing the AOS filing instructions and i have 2 questions:

1. Currently I have I-864 completed but I meet the I-864EZ criteria. Should i file I-864EZ?

2. Are there any advantages/disadvantages to filing the I-864 vs. I-864EZ

Thanks

Thanks Sachi, you are probably right about Chennai.

But what the operator said was that NVC will NOT move forward unless they have the PCC.
