My wife's name is also Melodie, and is says that on her passport and marriage cert etc, but says melody on her drivers licence i think.

I'm not sure about her tax / IRS stuff, but I totally know where you're coming from.

When I first met her, there were 3 different forms of ID that I got her name from

1. Melodie

2. Melodi

3. Melody

Craziness!

its crazy madness... Maybe it has something to do with the name Melody  I am calling the NVC now.. lets see what they say

The AVR is updated about 2-3 days AFTER your document has reached NVC.

Mine says NVC received my package on February 18 even though it was delivered on the 12th.

I'm going to expect a LIF on March 1. If it comes sooner, then awesome. If not, I'm not gonna go crazy over it.

No need to use fancy folders. They will throw them out anyway. Save it for the interview.

 I feel so much better... I called and talked to a NVC supervisor... this is what they told me to do so that I dont have an RFE.... make a copy of my SSC and BC attach a letter from me on top explaining the 2 different spellings, include this in the AOS package that I send in... and the Supervisor said that there will not be any issue.... But to keep my name that is on my passport on all the forms that I fill out :dance:

Hello everyone, I belong to the October NVC thread, but i just read to move to the Feb thread as the October one is dead. I see one person who is familiar. Anyways, we started NVC in October and we just finished mailing all our documents this month, Feb, so is it okay to be in this thread or does anyone know where i should be?

I have some questions about NVC still. Like what does AVR mean? And how do i know if they accept our documents? And the sign in page is where the sign in failed will come in? Should I call NVC to check on my case the first week of March when all the documents will be arriving from where we are living in Morocco right now, or should i wait till the second week in March to call?

Thanks so much in advance and hope im in the right place, sweetcitywife

Welcome!

AVR is the automatic voice recording that updates you on your case.

Have you sent in your DS230 packet yet? When? Call the AVR and see when it was inputted into the system.

Yes, your sign in failed will happen on the NVC payment portal page.

You need to talk to the other Moroccan members, from what I read the embassy interviews are quite intense. I think you should rely heavily on people that have just finished the process and can give you specific advice. This forum is for very general, generic advice for embassies who are fairly similar in procedures. I think your country is an exception, try to locate some others from your portal page that can advice you along with our fab-U-lous forum

Melody--No need to email it again. None of us got the automated response and the DS3032s were accepted in 5-7 days.

Sweet--I agree with Gina. Morocco is a killer.

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

3-5 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

3-5 days to receive emailed links after case # has been assigned and email addresses been given to NVC operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

5-6 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

1-2 days for IV bill to be PAID.

7-9 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.
