Sachinky,

I am still waiting for any news. Last thing I know is that the AVR says that they received my package on the 18th. Also they e-mailed my wife on saturday stating that they have all documentation for my case and as soon as my file has been reviewed, notification will be sent. I am going to log in tonight and see what happens.

Shoot, can't get through NVC. It's been busy for the last 12 minutes. Oh well, it's nearly 2AM here, might as well go to bed. I'll check the AVR and report back when I wake up! Goodnight, kids.

Nah, the only possible survival is to get AWAY from the computer....I just checked also to make you feel less crazy and alone, lol. Nothing yet(no surprise!)

But I if you're not checking the AVR, you need to speak to an NVC operator then to make sure they are working on your package. Just because it was delivered doesn't mean anything. Did you talk to a live person last week to make sure it is in review?

Good luck girl, I'm in heck with you : )

Wow estrella! You Dominicans know how to party!!! Wahooooo, NO RFE'S NO RFE'S NO RFE'S

Hello all my fellow VJers!!!

We made it through the interview!!! I am going to try to post it once our whole experience so everyone can read!!! Trust me, I took notes!!!

The end result though, the consulate officer told us Mabrooks! Congratulations and Welcome to the USA! You will receive your visa in a couple of weeks!!!

Insha'allah, I told my husband to wait until the visa is in his hands.

It is customary for the consulate to say this but it is known to be 2 weeks or longer......

I hope the man was being completely honest!!!!!

AND he didn't want to look at one picture or any of the papers!!!!!!!!:blink:

Good question! Mine was delivered last Thursday and I am anxious to see if its approved as-is or if a dumb RFE will follow. Hope someone has news for us!

dumb RFE? Is this the False RFE people are talking about? So everyone gets a False RFE, im assuming? Am I correct?

There is no such "Approval of AOS packet"--it'll be updated on to the AVR system usually 2-3 days after they've received it.

Folks---please update/maintain/create your VJ timelines! :)

So once they update it, who would we know there's no RFE?

ATS--More like Visa Journey Dork. :)

Estrella--I'm rooting for ya, chica! I'm sure you'll be in time for April interviews!

Gpmaan--Have you paid your IV bill yet?

David--I see you lurking. Any news?

Gina--I've already checked twice! Aaaaaah.

CPman--What news on your end?

Not yet, waiting for the wifey's passport. Bummer.

Hello all my fellow VJers!!!

You will know there's a RFE through an email/AVR update and eventually, snail mail, I believe. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

A false RFE is when you've already sent in a packet and they've not entered it into their system yet because there's a lag for a day or two so they input it as a RFE. I think ATS meant it more as a "stupid, dumb, damned RFE."

You can still pay the bill and wait for it to clear. Print out the cover sheet when you have the packet ready to go.

Alright, here's my update:

After persistently (maybe pesteringly) checking the login page to see if my IV Fee Bill cleared, it just showed as paid and I just printed the sheet (glad I work in IT!). I am ready to mail my DS-230 package.

Here's what I am including:

Please check and add what I missed.

1)Barcode sheet

2)Cover Letter

3)Marriage Certificate and a copy

4)Her Birth Certificate and a copy

5)Her Passport Clearance Certificate and a copy (And a note saying I'll have the Police Clearance Certificate at the interview since our city does not issue a PCC until they have a letter from the consulate requesting it)

6)Wedding Pictures (This is still a maybe)

7)Copy of her Passport

Am I missing anything?

Removal of Conditions:

07/02/2012 - Sent I-751 packet via USPS

07/05/2012 - Packet delivered

07/09/2012 - Check cashed!
