umm I feel like a idiot... for some reason one email came through to me and the other one got kicked over to my spam folder.. weird huh? Oh well..

One last question <at least for a min  > can I go ahead and pay the AOS before the DS3032 has been emailed? ANd I know this is probably a no, but can I mail my Husbands DS3032 from his account or does he have to do it from India?

Yes you can pay the (AOS) before sending the ds-3032 they have nothing to do with eatch other. The

(AOS) free is for the (AOS) documnet you send. And yes you can email it from his email account. good luck!

oops... see I told ya I was an idiot

No dont worry about it. haha it no big deal.

The AOS and DS are simultaneous but independent processes. You can go ahead and pay the bill and then email the DS3032 or do it the other way around. As long as it is sent from your husband's email address, it should be fine! :)

In the interest of NVC noobs, here's Christeen's time tested formula to get you through NVC in one piece alive:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

3-6 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

4-5 days to receive emailed links after case # has been assigned and email addresses been given to NVC operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

5-7 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

1-2 days for IV bill to be PAID.

7-10 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

MrsW--I think submit what you have now. You'll get through NVC fine. Don't waste time now. By the time you get to the interview, if your FIL is willing, then have a "back up I-864" signed as a last resort, if the CO should ask for it.

That's a great idea. Thanks!

If the option to pay the AOS is available for you (and you got the email), I think you can go ahead and pay it since AOS is processed independently of the IV docs. Also, you can send the DS3032 from your husband's account as long as your husband's ok with it. Oh and Melody, do PM a mod and ask them to delete that case number you accidentally posted. Good luck

Edit: sachinky and MQ already replied... I guess I was a bit late :) .. lol .. Aren't we a helpful bunch? :)

MQ--Take a copy of his/her 2009 taxes just to be on the safe side. Some consulates are asking for them.

Folks--Those of you with case completes -- the system is updated after 3pm and 10pm I believe, so it'd be fine to check the website after those times, correct? I checked it right now and I can still log in.

I don't know HOW I will exactly survive this week. I'm certain our case complete won't be before Friday evening and I will be completely crazy by then. Now that I've given in to my baser instincts and checked the payment portal once already, my fingers are itching to try it again every fifteen minutes.
