Good luck!!! I think the adreneline will kick in and keep you going. :)

Christeen, thanks for the positive thinking and the laugh. I hope you don't mind that I have changed to a shade of green as well. LOL!

Ok, one small question. Is it weird that on the DS3032 email template they have the beneficiary signing it with the last name first? Is that what everyone's SO did or did you just sign the name as you normally would with the first name first? I just want to advise my husband tomorrow when he writes it.

Thanks!

And Sam--Good luck! Monday is almost here! Yay.

Estrella--Wow, you HAVE been busy!

Sean John--Hmm. What's your consulate? You might add a note explaining that since your wife's passport is less than 6 months old you're attaching only one PCC. However, get the PCC ASAP for the interview. For embassy purposes, PCCs are assumed to be valid for a year, at least that's what I've been told. But the "no needing the PCC if the passport is recent thing" is ONLY 6 months, so if end of February is end of 6 months, then she's going to need a new PCC for the consulate. Depending on your consulate, you might be able to get away submitting only one now to NVC, and the other for the interview.

Scott--Awesome. So are you sending in both packages on Monday?

Best wishes to you Andrea with your interview. At least your 8 hours ahead so by the time we are all up monday morning you will be finished...lol and in the AP hell, and I hope that goes fast for you. I really think its going to make a difference you being there. Let me know how it goes.

My husband finally will be finished with his military in less then 10 days. Thank god, being stuck at NVC and watching others fly has been hard. With 6 visits to Egypt since we married in May 2008 has helped a lot. Not sure how I would of made it otherwise.

Sachinky, my consulate is Chennai. I was thinking about doing the same thing,i.e. including a note about it.

But the real problem is that the wifey cant go and apply for a PCC from the local police offices until she has a letter from the consulate requesting it. I wonder how long it will take for her to get it if she waits till the email about the interview date.

Will have to go the usual "connections" route I guess. That and some moolah....

I wont send the packages in until the first week of march when I get back to the states. I dont trust mail from the PI to the US. If i do it from the US i can send it express and track it the whole way. We still need to get the korean police clearance on monday...other than that, the 230 package is ready to go. The AOS...well i forgot my tax transcripts in my house :(

I have a question, My husband went to his district police station and requested a Police Clearance Certificate, the guys there had no idea what he was talking about, there is no form or anything that they have to give him. They told him that they could type out something and then put there stamp and signature on it... is this what we are needing? I would love to see a scanned copy of someone's PCC from India, so that I can give my husband an idea what it is that he needs to be getting... Or can someone explain what this PCC looks like... can it be hand written of does it have to be typed?

Melody--There is a Passport Application form which you fill out for "miscellaneous purposes." He can pick it up for Rs. 5 or something. I required my passport copy, USC husband's passport copy, my Class X pass certificate, marriage certificate and they made me fill out a form regarding name/address/date of birth/name of spouse. A police inspector will visit the house to check the applicant truly lives there and ask some basic questions. My PS PCC was a typed letter that had my picture on it and stated I have a clear record and have lived from so and so date at my residence and that I'm cleared for immigration along with a couple of stamps and a signature. The RPO PCC was a stamp in the passport stating I'm eligible to US visa purposes and an accompanying letter. I already sent in mine so I don't have a copy to scan it in. Hope this helps.

Contacting the local PS is actually no use, you need to go to the main branch and the IB clearance comes from the local PS--they're the ones who send an officer to the residence once they receive the file/app from the district headquarters.

Well, I'm glad you're taking the bull by it's, uh, balls. :) Good luck and I hope you get it soon.
