Barcoded cover sheet for IV bill of $400.

Two (2) Passport Size Photographs of Beneficiary (NVC Case Number, beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)

DS-230 Part 1 completed and signed by beneficiary

DS-230 Part 2 completed by beneficiary – unsigned, as of yet, per instructions

Photocopy of the Biographic Data Page(s) of Beneficiary’s Passport

Original/Certified Birth Certificate of beneficiary (with an attested translation provided) and a copy

Original/Certified Marriage Certificate and a copy

Original/Certified Passport Office Police Certificate for Beneficiary and a copy

Original/Certified Police Clearance Certificate and a copy.

I just checked and NO - nothing medical related goes with it. I should have done this sooner. The appointment letter apparently sets out the requirements for medicals to be submitted at interview.

Ok. So then that's settled. You can send in your DS230 packet as soon as your IV bill clears which should be in about 1-2 business days.

As for the BC, it'll have to be the ORIGINAL or a CERTIFIED copy. You can try with a photocopy, but I'd hate to see you get RFEd for it.

My case was finally upgraded today to Immediate relative status...... Now I can officially join the Team NVC. Worried myself sick over the last few weeks on why it was taking so long. Next step Choice of agent :-)

Adding: If you have previous marriages, kids, divorces, please find out where you have to submit divorce decrees, previous marriage certificates and kid's BCs. I'm not sure if it's at NVC or the Consulate.

Haha. I promised myself I wouldn't get too antsy about a "login failed" until next week. Once I start logging in to that damned site, I can't stop. I'll be happy as long as I get a Case Complete by 02/26 and an early April interview on the second week of March. PLEASE, pray for me, guys!

Anyone submitted I864-EZ ?

I'm the only one sponsoring, so I864-ez is enough to submit or I864 is needed?

That's the only-assets form, right? If you're the primary sponsor and have sufficient assets to sponsor the intending immigrant, you can go ahead and fill in the EZ form. Guess what? It IS easy.

I will probably be doing the EZ form (income only...no assets..also only sponsoring one individual). I make the poverty line easily with by base pay (the only pay that goes on my w-2) although i am wondering how it will look this year as I had 4 months tax-free.

Oops, my bad, the I864EZ is INCOME only, not ASSET only.

Joint sponsors however, can only use a I864A or I864. No EZ for them, even if they do qualify on income alone.

Search for her on the forums. Her husband's from Italy. She's on the NVC boards sometimes so maybe she'll see this. Or send her a PM.

If your husband is using your FIL's address as his permanent residence then, my opinion is that it will be the I864A. I'm not sure what your husband would put for HIS household and what your FIL will put for his and how much the required amount will be. If he claims your SIL on his taxes, she's a +1 to the household size, nevermind the fact that she lives elsewhere. Talk to your FIL and husband and give the I864A a read. It is an easier document than the I864.

Also, how long is your husband going to live with you in Brazil? Remember that domicile has recently been an issue in several consulates. I'd check the regional forums.

Well, I bailed the gym and decided to get my vaccines done. My arm is really sore

I told my husband to take a look on the forms and we'll see what he comes up with.

About the domicile thing, he is down here with me just because we didn't want to be apart while the visa process was on. But as soon as I receive the visa we'll go back to the US. He's only been here for 6 months.

I talked to a couple of friends who did DCF in br and they were not even asked about it. I think it's not a issue down here yet. I know in Canada it's been a problem though.
