Guys I have another question. My co-Sponsor is my brother and he has to go outside the country from a month or so. Can I just download the I-864 AOS form online and make my brother complete it and sign it before he goes next week? I have not received DS-3032 form or paid any AOS fees yet. Can we just sign it now and send it once everything is paid??

Yes! Make sure he gives you all the information (such as tax returns etc) before he leaves. And then when NVC requests it, you will have it ready to go!

So the date it is signed doesn't have to be after payment of the AOS ?

I don't think it matters. My husband is in BR with me and we sent his affidavit last week to the US.

So as soon as we pay the AOS bill his dad will send the papers to NVC.

Although, he dated the form "February 26th" I think. We thought our AOS package wouldn't be sent before then. So decided to do like this.

My case was finally upgraded today to Immediate relative status...... Now I can officially join the Team NVC. Worried myself sick over the last few weeks on why it was taking so long. Next step Choice of agent :-)

haha, I know what you mean. I have my email open in one window and my husbands in another one. So I refresh the page all day long. I'm getting crazy waiting for the emails! haha

I also added the "nvcinquiry" email to my contact list, just to be safe it won't go to spam (although I also keep the eye on the spam folder).

THE SENDER WILL SAY NVC INQUIRY BOTH EMAILS..THE SUBJECT WILL BE IN ONE YOUR CASE NUMBER PM ACL COVER LETTER STD and the other one will have as a subject your CASE NUMBER NLH PM AOS FEE LETTER

Both emails will have a document attached

I received mine around 5.33 p.m usa ET

For MY example only, the sender wass from NVC______@state.gov. You fill in the blank with different departments of NVC.

The subject is your NVC case number, so mine was TIA201052**** then in parentheses () something about whichever fees it is AOS, etc... You'll definitely know when you get it, you get the quick heartbeat skip and it doesn't look like anything else really.

There is no need to notarize the I864, it is already signed under penalty of perjury.

We received our emails around 5:30 EST on 02/05.

This emailing thing is DEFINITELY done in batches.
