also, I wonder if anyone has an average of how many days after NOA2 that they were able to get the NVC case number? I recieved my NOA2 on 2/09 is it unreasonable to think that one day this week I should be able to get my case # from NVC? The operator tells me 2-4 weeks but could take up to 90 days, has anyone here had to wait 90 days for the case #?

The average is about 5-7 business days. You should be getting your case number this week.

I'm also waiting for mine. I received the NOA2 3 days after you.

Go NVC!!! I'll call them in the afternoon, but I doubt I'll get my number before Friday =/

Currently the # of business days NVC is taking:

4-7 days for NVC to receive your case and assign a case #.

4-7 days to receive emailed links after giving your email address to an operator.

1-2 days for the AOS bill to show as PAID.

5-7 days for DS3032 to be accepted.

1-2 days for IV bill to be PAID.

8-9 days for case complete after all your documents have been sent in.

NVC is open from 730am till 12 midnight EST.

The AVR is updated at 3PM and then again at 10PM.

Posting for cause. NVC noobs, pay attention. Here's Christeen's time tested formula for NVC:

Petitioner: Get NVC # + give operator your email IDs + receive AOS fee bill + pay 70$ online + wait to show paid + print cover sheet + send I-864 AOS with all documents and case # written on each page.

Beneficiary: Get NVC# + receive DS3032 + send DS3032+ DS3032 accepted + IV fee bill available to be paid + pay & wait to show paid + print IV cover sheet + mail DS230 package with all original/certified documents

= wait for case complete + wait for interview to be scheduled.

My wife sent the 3032 from her gmail account on Thursday morning and has'nt yet received a confirmation email. Not the reply email that it has been accepted, but the confirmation email that it has been received. We tried sending it from her Yahoo account too. but still nothing. How long does it usually take to get the automated reply email that it has been received?

Do I need to send it again?

Neither me nor Mike got the automated response when we emailed in the DS3032 so don't worry, it's fine. It should be accepted in 5-7 days.

David, I'm really sorry your stuff is taking so long. Must be friggin' painful. Have you spoken to an operator?

OK, I thought I had understood what to do on the I-184, but after looking at the sample form now I am confused. Part 2 when it is asking about the person you are sponsoring, Do I put his address in India, or the address where he will be living here in the US?

the principal immigrant is the applicant .. the part 2 is the information about the applicant or beneficiary that lives abroad ...so the address of India is the one that is correct...the problem with those template forms is that not all the time the information that is in correspond with the answer that we need different cases..

did you call again to check if they have the correct emails?? because I also gave my email on the 8th and receive the email on the 12th

give them a call you will find out whats happening
