The form/example in the guides is two letters in 1... the first one is addressed to USCIS and is sent with the initial packet.. the second will be addressed to the consulate and goes to the interview or is sent to the consulate dependant upon the consulate expectations... you each will do two.. one for the beginning of the process and 1 for the consulate stage...

Total of 4 letters of intent.

2 now (1 from you, 1 from your fiance, addressed to CA or VT, VT in your case).

2 dated close to the interview date (1 from you, 1 from your fiance, addressed to the Consulate address in the foreign country).

The letters now and later can be written the same, the difference being the date it is signed, and where it is addressed.

07-17-2009 I-129F sent

07-22-2009 NOA1 date

07-24-2009 check cleared

07-30-2009 NOA1 received via snail mail

10-14-2009 NOA2 (we were around #187 on Igor's List)

12-30-2009 Interview in Madrid!

02-01-2010 Visa in Hand - finally!

Letter of intent is simple, Just put your address at the top and the date and put To: US Immigration and say I John Doe intend to marry Jane Doe within 90 days of entering the USA with her K-1 Visa.

and sign it

It's that simple, that's all you need

and she needs to do one too.
