Hello everyone. I am going to be marrying my brazilian fiancee soon. I am wondering does anyone have experience with the consulate in Brazilia, Brasil? How is the interview process there? Do they deny many of the single women seeking K-1 visas? I have been dating my fiancee for almost 3 years. She will be coming her to live with me in the us.We are now beginning to plan everything.

They deny every single woman seeking a K-1 visa..... (Brasilia does not interview K-1's... Only Rio de Janerio)

Brasília, São Paulo, and Recife only interview for nonimmigrant visas - only Rio interviews for immigrant visas (which include the K1).

That said, it seems that people here have had fairly good success at Rio for the K1.

ETA: But if she's your fiancée, she's not realllly single. :P

Are you going to do DCF and your first "interview" will be in Brasilia? That's what you mean?

If not and you are looking for reviews in a K1 visa, check Embassy reviews and choose Rio de Janeiro/Brazil.

The only consulate in Brazil that deals with immigration purposes is RJ.

If you have evidence of a bonafide relationship then you should be ok. I hardly see people here saying they were denied at the interview in RJ for no reason. Again, check the reviews... lots of good stuff there!

July 30, 2010 - Received the Green Card after receiving 4 welcome letters! USCIS see ya later!

06-02-2012: Temporary GC expires

12-20-2012: Permanent GC received

6 MONTHS LATER......

06/03/2013: n400 Filled

10/22/2013: Citizenship test and oath ceremony
