Alaikum Salam

The first question is how did your fiancé obtain her citizenship?

If she was born in the United States, she will have her birth certificate. If she lost the birth certificate it is easy to replace.

If she's a naturalized citizen, I'm sure someone will come along to tell you what to do for that.

Good luck to you and your fiancé.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

Do you have any forms that are requiring the number? If so and she lost the certificate she will have to apply for a new one, which can take up to 6 months. Hopefully just her passport will be suffice to prove citizenship.

I agree with Hicham. Have your fiancee send in the K1 application now. At the same time, have her fill out USCIS form# N-565, Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizenship Document, and send that in separately. By the time you get the Consulate interview, you will have her certificate and can show it, if needed.
