FILED MY SON'S I-130 IN JULY 2006 WHEN I WAS AN IMMIGRANT.THEN I GOT MY CITIZENSHIP OCTOBER 2009 THEN UPGRADED MY SON'S PETITION TO U.S. CITIZEN FILING FOR SON BELOW 21 YRS OLD.NVC RECEIVED THE APPROVAL NOVEMBER 2009 THEN ASSIGNED A NVC CASE NUMBER.DECEMBER 10, 2009 THEY SENT ME AND MY SON DS3032 (CHOICE OF AGENT) THEN MY SON SENT IT ON LINE.NVC RECEIVED IT DEC. 15.PAID AOS DEC. 18, 2009 THEN PAID IMMIGRANT VISA PROCESSING FEE $400 JAN. 4, 2010.MY SON SENT DS 230 AND OTHER DOCUMENTS JAN. 12, 2010.NVC RECEIVED JAN. 19, 2010.ANY IDEA FROM VJ MEMBERS HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE ONCE THEY RECEIVED THE DS 230?MY SON IS QUITE EXCITED AND ALWAYS ASKING HOW MANY MONTHS IT WILL TAKE..

it took about 5 weeks for us, but we had RFE that delayed us for a couple weeks....i bet your son is excited, and you are too...

RFE stands for "request for evidence".
