Hi, my case got transferred to CSC this week and I was wondering how long does it usually take to get a decision now its been transferred? Does the process start all over again and take 4 months like the CSC website says?

If anyone could shed some light on this that would be great.

Thanks ahead of time

Todd

Transferring to CSC means that most likely there will be no interview....It can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months to approval.

I was hoping that I would get it before April as we have a trip planned. I've noticed that most if not some get a decision about a month to 2 months afterward, is that typical? (I'm hoping so)

A month to 2 months after transfer to CSC may happen, but it could also be wishful thinking (I don't think they work that fast).

Based on experience, our case was transferred to CSC on Dec. 8th and on January 19th I received my green card.

Based on a sample size of approximately 70 people, the October AOS filers who were transferred to CSC averaged 43 days from transfer to approval of the AOS. The lowest interval was 31 days, and the longest interval was 62. The green card typically arrives 5-7 days after approval.

So if you were transferred this week, you can expect it to be approved sometime between the 15th and 26th of March. While it's not a dead lock, I'd estimate that there's a very good chance that you will see your green card prior to the end of March. If you don't see it by then, it will mean that CSC has slowed down quite significantly since October-November-December. While the increased workload from Haitian refugees and orphans will doubtless slow them down somewhat, I don't think it will slow them down enough to completely invalidate estimates from the previous three months. If you don't get any RFEs, and your case isn't transferred back to your local office for an interview (which will push the approval interval out to more like 3-4 months from NOA1) then you should almost certainly see approval and the green card before the end of March.
