Well, I've been here for nearly 3 years .. I've been at school and haven't really actively looked for a job (although I will need to in the summer) .. but so far I've worked a few temp jobs .. a dental assistant for a week, a contractor for the Red Cross's accounts department for 2 months, an extra on 3 movies and now I'm a receptionist at a law title office .. I've also volunteered as a database specialist with the Red Cross, an admin assistant with a non-profit organization and as a tax preparer on an air force base!! Trying lots of different things! lol!

Not what I am qualified to do BUT, I couldn't just sit at home waiting for the perfect position in the middle of a recession.

Sometimes I HATE my job, most days I am just grateful to have one! :)

Hi luvtechwifey! :D

Just got my EAD card...we will apply for my social security number this week and from there I will start looking for a job related to food service/restaurant work...I want to have my own food business someday. :)

Hope you and the hubby are doing well!

It is a question out of the main topic, but how could you get you SSN having only the EAD Card? I asked somebody who also made the AOS a year ago and she told me that this was possible until we get the green card. In my case I have already a previous SSN since i was first Au Pair and I had that due to my former job. Please let me know whatever info you know! Thank you in advance.

I arrived here in Texas Oct 21, 2005. Decided not to worked for a year... just enjoyed spending quatility time with my hubby and his family... (also shopping here and there... lol.)

My first job was working at Bealls as a sales associate (1 year) like it.

Second job working at the hospital (1 year) hate the night calls out. It pays good though.

Third job working at home health care. I really love this job and I really enjoyed it. Stop working just 4 days before my baby was due. I really missed my job sad.gif .

Fourth/current job... the most and very rewarding job. Stay at home mom for about four months now. Taking care of our little Princess is priceless!
