Just FYI -- I got a PM from Ali (a.k.a. Dan and Ali), and she mentioned that even though she got to Woking at 6:15 this morning, she wound up being number 17! So in other words, get there REALLY early.

I plan on being there before 6:00 tomorrow morning, and I'll give you all an update once I'm home.

The paperwork I printed out from Woking had a 6 am time...so I must have ha either an ld form or couldn't read..which is why I was there at 5.45 and got #3..most other people started showing up just after 6am

Just got home from my medical in Toronto. It only took me 2 hours in total.

I arrived there at 8.05 and then the lady(A) at the front desk asked my appointment letter and while she's checking on it, she asked me if i have fever, cough or im pregnant. After i told her NO, she instructed to go to the waiting room.An hour after, I was called by lady (B) and was directed to go to that "registration door" where the lady © ( she is very pleasant and nice)who is assigned in there asked my passport, 3 pictures, my address, and my vaccination records and the $275 as well. She then instructed me to proceed to go to the xray room. I was on my way to that room, I met the Xray tech (lady D) who is very friendly and told me to go with her. It took us less than 5 minutes to do the chest xray. After it, she told me to wait outside of the x-ray room, after few minutes, lady (B)called my name and told me to go to the laboratory room. The lady (E) who took sample of my blood is nice, too. After it, she instructed me to go back to the waiting room. I waited for like 45 minutes . I was called again by lady (B) and we went inside to a room and she told me to wait in there and few minutes after, a nurse (lady F) came in and check my BP and my pulse. After we're done, she told me to get ready for the doctor's check-up (she instructed me to wear the blue paper gown only( for ladies--if you have your period, you don't have to take off your undies) and after giving the instruction she told me to wait the doctor and left the room). Few minutes after, somebody knocked on the door and this time it was the doctor (guy 1). He then asked me if i am diabetic, had psychiatric problems and etc..etc..etc.. I never had problems on those that he asked... he checked my immunity test result and my other vaccination record and scribbled something on the papers and told me that after he checked me up, I am done with my medical. He then checked my jaw down to the neck and then checked my back. A very quick check on my tummy part and after, he told me to remain lying down on the examining table for my breast check up. He went out of the room and lady (F) came in and did the breast exam. She then instructed me to get changed and she left. Last thing that i did was to see lady (A) at the frontdesk and before she handed a sheet of paper for the pick up sched, she asked me if I was asked by the doctor for further medical records to fax and told her no.

Overall, my medical experience was really good! Kudos to the friendly and nice medical staff!!!

Oh yeah. Definitely. I'm really glad I got one so long before my interview. It really WILL feel good to get it over and done with...unless, of course, they find a tumor or something. :P

Is it far from your place? It looks like an easy exam, but... yeah, not a fan.

Yeah, I currently live about an hour from downtown Vancouver. There really aren't any freeways or even highways that go into the downtown core...it's a pretty self enclosed city, accessible mostly by local bridges. That's what makes Skytrain such a benefit for Vancouver...but logistically speaking, it would take me just as long to drive to my nearest Skytrain station and go that way...so I'm going to drive.

You are so dramatic!! I am sure you will be fine and they will NOT find any tumor or anything else :)

Of course I'm being dramatic. :P But there's always the slightest of possibilities for a problem, which is why they make you take a medical in the first place. So I can't, in good conscience, take it completely lightly. ;)

I was going to go to Vancouver for my result but it was more cost efficient to go to Montreal. Good luck everyone!!

I can't find any male reviews of Woking Medical Clinic, actually. Not that it would differ MUCH from the female one...but the place where it WOULD differ is what I'm curious about...

I don't think you have any reason to worry Wyatt and I doubt they're going to check whether or not you're male because frankly, you look pretty male.
