I'm not sure how Brazil does it, but when my husband was interviewing in his home country of Morocco, the interviewers were awful tough on those who didn't speak English well. I would encourage you to help your girlfriend learn English because every paper she will have to sign for the USA will be in English or translated to English.

I take it you speak Poruguese very well?

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.

Hi, go to "example forms" link on the top of this page and you will find an example letter.

I guess it has to be in English since you are sending it to thee USCIS in the US.

Good luck!

Declaration should be in English as it is being submitted to a service center in the US. Simply write it for her, print it, and have her sign.

Yes, I wrote mine in English and had my fiance sign it. He speaks very little English, and there was no problem at the interview as they did it in Portuguese for him. I speak fluent Portuguese, so that was a big help in our process. The key is that you can communicate with each other, so they will definitely be looking at that. Let me know if you need help as we went through the process in Rio just 4 months ago. Good luck!
