Will they conduct a background check of my family?

I have 2 brothers who are both LPR in US, but my mother and sister have been out of status and are unlawfully present in US for a few years now. I think in the G-325 I placed my hometown for my mom's residence, coz it asks about your parents right? Will they be interested in knowing where they really are?

Has anyone experienced being asked about their parents or something like that? I'm not sure if I should be bothered by this, but I just saw that the form DS-156 asks about your family's status in US, if applicable, again. :unsure:

First of all DO NOT GIVE FALSE INFORMATION on any form. There are severe penalities and that is one of the best ways to get a petition denied.

The name check situation is up for discussion. Supposedly Homeland security is looking for ties to terrorist groups and they compare the names given on the forms to a list they have of people involved in that sort of thing.

I dont know for sure, but from what I have read here and in other boards, the status of your other relatives does not have an impact on your petition. (the sins of the fathers are not visited on the children).
