Hi me and my wife wanted to bring her 6 year old daughter to the US.I am a US citizen and my wife is a green card holder.D i file the petion for her daughter or does my wife , what form do i use,and what is the timeline?Any answers would be appreciated thank you

lmaq. i think u can file for ur step child or the wife can. i think ur wife as a usc can file and it is better to do it that way. either way, u should be fine just include the marriage cert, brth cert photos of child with the petit. u dont need a 325 g for child

As the USC you should file it will be much quicker.

You will need to file an I-130 Petition for your step-daughter.

After approval of the petition, you will then be applying for a CR/IR-2 for your Step-daughter.

You as the USC will file the petition and sponsor the daughter.

USC petitioning would be faster by about 4 years....
