If you plan the trips in advance, you can save a great deal of money... the prices fluctuate more than 1 thousand dollars over the course of the year... so a cheap ticket could cost 600 one day and more than 1600 a month later... look at online sites like orbitz that allow you to compare different days in one query... mid week are often cheapest trips, but not always...

A word of advice.. be careful when it comes time to drink and toast the relationship with relatives... :bonk:

You seem to be too hung up on the income question. Current and ongoing (right now) income is what you must demonstrate. You don't need to support your claim with a filed tax return. Use employer letter and paystubs to support your income claim. Now if your work history is short and/or income suddenly skyrockets and you work for the family, that may cause a question. If it's typical and explainable you ought to be fine.

Deciding between K1 and CR1 is a big thing. You can't switch from one to the other halfway into it. K1 has more steps (AOS, employment authorization), and more fees. CR1 she would have a green card after entry and the ability to be employed legally right away.

File K1 now and she could be here by the end of 2010. Go back soon, marry, file CR1 she probably gets here in 2010 also.

Anhmap: Thanks for your time. Yes, i consider every possibility that i can. I haven't done anything yet, now is just the phase i am doing all the research for a better result. You are right, i am hung up on the income issue, i will talk to my CPA this week to find out about the income for this year. I am just confusing too much to pick out the good way, but after this week, i will have a good sense of direction for us. K1 or CR1 has good and bad, but being in my situation, i think the K1 will raise the red flags for CO. I might be wrong, please correct me if you can.

Thanks
