We didn't print email or chat logs - those are personal in my opinion and what do they prove....that you can talk for hours and they could be easily doctored. We had other evidence - like the cards and envelopes addressed to one another. Plane tickets, receipts for both of us in the other person's location. Honestly I can't remember much about the interview, it was short and sweet, but I know we came prepared with stuff and they didn't even look at it

I don't recall bringing any additional evidence to the interview at all..... I just brought what they asked me to bring. We weren't asked for any additional evidence at the interview. The officer just chatted to my husband a bit about his job (out of interest.... not because he was trying to assess anything) and I just kind of stood on the sidelines.

Reading the reviews over the yrs, most of the time they don't even ask for additional evidence, but it is always good to bring some! Quality over quantity! You dont need a whole photo album, few pics, anything that has both ur names on it.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

You know - I think you're right - we brought originals of everything we'd already sent. since time had elapsed we 'may' have brought a couple tickets and cards received since the time we'd applied and the actual interview (about 9 months) but I know they didn't ask for them.

I brought soooo much stuff, but only a few things were actually needed.

Aside from background check, birth certificate, tax forms(from fiance), expresspost envelope & the "required" papers, we weren't asked for any evidence/proof of relationship.

8/2/2021:  Mailed N-400

8/4/2021: N-400 received

8/6/2021:  Biometrics to be reused
3/15/2022:  Interview (successful)
