OK guys,

I have my CR-1 interview coming up soon; now I'm starting to stress out. All the different types of question that they may ask are going around my head. I'm trying to collate all the evidence I possibly can. We all just want that magical approval from the interview.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

I completely understand your worry. My fiance recently went for his interview and I was so scared for him. The questions they ask are ones you should know. They just need to make sure everything is sincere and in the right place. I wouldn't worry but I know its easier said than done.

Hey,

thanks for that. I have looked around and found question; I have begun to practice them. I'm collating evidence as we speak. I'm sure it will be fine, but you still have the huge element of fear until it's all finished. May I ask how long its going to take for you to receive the passport?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Try not to stress. They asked us a few questions and we answered honestly. It was simple. She asked where we met, if we were divorced before, did we have children, where would we live, where do we work and what does he plan to do once he moves and where do I live and work now. She asked who came to the wedding and a couple questions about it. Nothing you have to study for or anything. Relax. :innocent:

I have my CR-1 interview on Friday.....starting to feel the nerves now! I think some of it may be down to the fact that all the paperwork is already out of my hands and sent ahead to the embassy! No last minute checking of forms to remind myself they're all correct, actually making me more nervous!!

After having everything be approved over with UCSIS and the NVC, I just want the interview to go smoothly. Any advice?

thanks!

We took copies of forms we already sent in, proof like photos, letters etc which no one asked us for but it felt better to have them. I think just answer everything truthfully and it should not be a problem.

My family didn't attend the wedding, as we are going to have a big reception. I wonder if they will highlight that? Also, where can I get US Passport size photos taken? How many bags of evidence are you allowed to take in?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

I was asked why my family did not attend. I just said it was too expensive for them to fly and my parents are in poor health.

They didnt tell anyone not to bring in breifcase, folder or bag but you will be screened.

If you forget the photos there is a photo booth inside the embassy.

That makes me feel slightly better. I was going to say something similar, but didn't know if they would believe me or not. I was going to add that in a years times we will have enough money for a big reception, but right now financial security for both of us, is most important; also that i paid the deposit and first months rent for the apartment we live in now. But, I don't want answer a question that invites more questions.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Right, I have found a place where they do passport size pics

51x51mm

2x2 inch = 50.8mmx50.8mm

will the embassy accept 51x51mm?

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

Not sure. Here is a link to places that do the pics and worst case I believe the machine inside embassy was 4 pounds for instant passport photos. North Audley St is literally like a 5 minute walk. Gould's pharmacy (where people leave cell phone) is there and does pics. The Audley pub is our new Mayfair local if we ever go back. Best meals we had in London and ice cold Guiness. Chek it out after your interview!
